I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Callum’s wedding at the breathtaking Oakwood and Ryther.
If you’ve never been to Oakwood and Ryther, let me tell you—it’s a dream venue for wedding photography. The getting-ready spaces in the morning are perfect for capturing those intimate and often chaotic pre-ceremony moments. Both the bride and groom have their own beautifully designed spaces and downstairs flooded with natural light, which is a photographer's best friend!
The gardens at Oakwood and Ryther are simply lovely, providing endless options for stunning portraits and relaxed group shots. And the ceremony space? Oh, I could go on and on about how magical it is. With plenty of natural light streaming in and a gorgeous chandelier creating that wow factor, it’s an amazing backdrop for saying “I do.” It’s hard not to fall in love with this venue—it feels like every corner has been designed with weddings in mind.
Stephanie and Callum were such a joy to work with. Having met them for their pre-wedding session, I already knew we’d have a great time on the day. They were so laid-back and full of love for each other, which made capturing their connection so easy and natural.
One of my favorite personal touches from Stephanie and Callum’s day was their idea to incorporate a photo from their pre-wedding session into their wedding. They had one of their friends paint a stunning piece based on the photo, and throughout the reception, guests were invited to add their own strokes of paint to complete it. By the end of the night, it had transformed into a collaborative work of art filled with love and creativity.
I honestly can’t wait to go back to Oakwood and Ryther for another wedding in 2025. It’s one of those venues that always inspires me, and every couple brings something unique to the space.
