A few months ago, I had the joy of photographing Christie & Josh’s wedding at The Old Gore Barn, and honestly… I’m still not over how epic it was. 🥹
From start to finish, their day was full of personality, laughter, and those beautifully real moments that make weddings so special.
If you’re a couple planning a relaxed, non-traditional wedding that actually feels like you, this one is for you.
A Ceremony Full of Personality (and a James Bond Entrance)
From the moment the ceremony began, it was clear this wasn’t going to be your typical wedding day. Josh walked down the aisle to the James Bond theme - an iconic choice that instantly set the tone.
The ceremony itself felt intimate and electric all at once. At one point, everyone joined in during a love song, and it genuinely felt like a private concert surrounded by friends and family.
Dogs, Beer Boys & Doing Things Their Own Way
Christie & Josh fully leaned into what mattered most to them — and it showed.
Their gorgeous dogs were part of the day, dressed up and stealing hearts left, right and centre
Beer boys (yes, beer boys!) handed out drinks before the ceremony, complete with dance moves
Christie did her own makeup, absolutely glowing - no surprise, as she’s an incredibly talented makeup artist herself

The Old Gore Barn was such a perfect setting for a day like this. With its fairy lights, beautiful outdoor spaces and lovely little architectural details, it feels effortlessly stylish while still being completely relaxed.
And then there was that disco ball.
Hanging above the dance floor, it brought the whole evening to life and turned the party into a proper sparkle-filled dream.
Why This Kind of Wedding Works So Beautifully
Weddings like this are proof that the magic isn’t in perfection — it’s in the people. In the moments where everyone feels relaxed, connected, and free to just enjoy the day as it unfolds.
When couples trust their instincts, choose a venue that fits their vibe, and stop worrying about how things should look, everything starts to fall into place naturally.
And as a photographer, those are the days that result in the most meaningful images — full of joy, emotion, and real, unscripted moments.
Christie & Josh - thank you for trusting me to capture your day. It’s one I’ll be smiling about for a very long time ❤️
